Mitten State Sports Report's Series Notes:

-  The Lakers '87' would have the bodies down low to match up against Tim Duncan, and David Robinson!

-  The Spurs were a great defensive team, but the Lakers were an excellent 3-point shooting team!

-  Tony Parker would struggle dealing with Magic Johnson's height!  Parker is 6'2, Magic is 6'9.

-  The Spurs record was 62-20 during the 2002-2003 NBA season.  They were 15-5 during the 2003 NBA Playoffs.  They won the 2003 NBA Championship.

-  The Lakers were 65-17 during the 1986-1987 NBA season.  They were 15-3 during the 1987 NBA Playoffs.  They won the 1987 NBA Championship.

-  Both teams rosters are loaded with star players.  It would make for an interesting 7 game series!

Mitten State Sports Report's Series Projection:

Game 1  Spurs  99 -  Lakers  98

Game 2  Lakers 103  -  Spurs  97

Game 3  Spurs  97  -  Lakers  95

Game 4  Lakers  104 -  Spurs 100

Game 5  Lakers  112 -  Spurs  103

Game 6  Spurs  98  -  Lakers  93

Game 7  Lakers  106  -  Spurs  97

SF  David Thirdkill                                                                                    C  Joel Anthony

Mitten State Sports Report's Series Notes:

-  The Celtics '86' would have a big advantage over the Heat '13' in the frontcourt.  Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish would both have a huge impact in a 7 game series.

-  LeBron James vs. Larry Bird would be epic.   Both players would score, and potentially cancel each other out.

-  The Celtics '86' would struggle with the speed, and quickness of Dwyane Wade, and the rest of the Heat.

-  The Heat '13' have a solid bench with players like Ray Allen, and Shane Battier.  Rashard Lewis, Chris "Bird Man" Anderson, and Norris Cole would all be x-factors in a 7 game series.

-  The Celtics were 15-3 during the 1986 NBA Playoffs! They won the 1986 NBA Championship!

-   The Heat were 16-7 during the 2013 NBA Playoffs!  They won the 2013 NBA Championship!

Mitten State Sports Report's Series Projection

Game 1  Miami  103 -  Boston  100

Game 2  Boston  111  -  Miami  104

Game 3  Boston  106  -  Miami 98

Game 4  Miami  101  -  Boston  99

Game 5  Boston  114  -  Miami  97

Game 6  Boston  100  -  Miami  93

Cruisin' Hines 2014

The 4th Annual Cruisin' Hines took place last Sunday!  The event has gotten bigger every year!

The 4th Annual Cruisin' Hines took place last Sunday, and the event seems to be growing from year to year. Classic cars, Hot Rods, and even custom choppers were on display for everyone to see, and there was an exceptionally large turnout for this years event.  People lined the edges of the grass, and enjoyed the beautiful weather, along with the caravans of Classic Cars that passed by all afternoon.  Engines could be heard revving from a mile away, and smoke from burnouts, and hibachi grills temporarily covered the sewage smell that occasionally hovers in that area.
This was the second straight year that the Mitten State Sports Report attended the Cruisin' Hines.  Be sure to check out exclusive photos from all the festivities!  You can always leave a comment, and you can email the Mitten State Sports Report directly at mittenstatesportsreport@rocketmail.com  The 5th Annual Cruisin' Hines has already been scheduled for August 25th, 2015, and a special Cruisin' Hines Kick Off Party is scheduled for August 22nd, 2015.  Make your plans now!
