Mitten State Sports Report's Series Notes:

-  The Lakers '87' would have the bodies down low to match up against Tim Duncan, and David Robinson!

-  The Spurs were a great defensive team, but the Lakers were an excellent 3-point shooting team!

-  Tony Parker would struggle dealing with Magic Johnson's height!  Parker is 6'2, Magic is 6'9.

-  The Spurs record was 62-20 during the 2002-2003 NBA season.  They were 15-5 during the 2003 NBA Playoffs.  They won the 2003 NBA Championship.

-  The Lakers were 65-17 during the 1986-1987 NBA season.  They were 15-3 during the 1987 NBA Playoffs.  They won the 1987 NBA Championship.

-  Both teams rosters are loaded with star players.  It would make for an interesting 7 game series!

Mitten State Sports Report's Series Projection:

Game 1  Spurs  99 -  Lakers  98

Game 2  Lakers 103  -  Spurs  97

Mitten State Sports Report's Series Notes:

-  Charles Barkley would struggle offensively against the combination of Tim Duncan, David Robinson, and Bruce Bowen!

-  The 3-point shooting of Dan Majerle, and Danny Ainge would keep the Phoenix Suns close throughout the series!

-  The Spurs bench would outscore the Suns bench!  Manu Ginobili, Steve Kerr, Malik Rose, and Steve Smith would all be effective throughout the series!

-  The Spurs have the stronger overall roster on paper (or on a blog)!

-  The Phoenix Suns were 13-11 during the 1993 NBA Playoffs!  The Suns lost to the Bulls in the NBA Finals!

-  The Spurs were 15-5 during the 2003 NBA Playoffs!  The Spurs won the NBA Championship!
