USL Championship On YouTube

     The USL (United Soccer League) Championship YouTube channel currently features 8,960 videos for fans of American soccer.  Some of the videos on the USL Championship YouTube channel include "Detroit City FC vs. Sacramento Republic FC - Game Highlights | 06-11-2022", "Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC vs. Detroit City FC: June 4th, 2022" (full game), and "Detroit City FC vs. Atlanta United II: May 21, 2022" (full game).  The USL Championship YouTube channel currently has over 76,000 subscribers.  

     Detroit City FC is currently in 4th place in the USL Championship Eastern Conference standings with 25 points, and an overall record of 7-3-4 (4 draws).  Memphis 901 FC is currently in 1st place in the USL Championship Eastern Conference standings with 28 points, and an overall record of 9-3-1 (1 draw).  The USL Championship Eastern Conference features fourteen teams.  The USL Championship Western Conference features thirteen teams.

-  USL Championship played their inaugural season in 2011.  

-  The Tampa Bay Rowdies won the 2021 USL Championship. 

-  Detroit City FC is currently playing in their first season in the USL Championship.

Memory Lane: Games

     I miss going to games.  I miss watching races at Flat Rock Speedway.  I miss going to soccer games in Ann Arbor, and baseball games at Jimmy John's Field in Utica.  I miss the fresh air, the reasonably priced entertainment, and the enthusiastic crowds of people.  I miss the smells of hot dogs, and popcorn that seem to linger throughout a venue.  I miss the anticipation, and the excitement of going to those games.  I miss the memories that would have been made at those games.

Soccer: NISA News

The Michigan Stars FC (in red) are now competing in the NISA (National Independent Soccer Association).

     Detroit City FC, and the Michigan Stars FC are now competing in the NISA (National Independent Soccer Association).  Both teams previously competed in the NPSL (National Premier Soccer League).  The 2020 NISA season features 8 teams including Cal United Strikers FC, Chattanooga FC, Detroit City FC, the LA Force, the Michigan Stars FC, Oakland Roots SC (California), Stumptown Athletic (North Carolina), and 1904 FC (San Diego, California).
