Virtual Kentucky Derby

     Secretariat (1973 Triple Crown) won the Triple Crown Showdown earlier today on NBC Sports Network.  The virtual race featured thirteen former Triple Crown participants, and took place at a virtual Churchill Downs.  Citation (1948 Triple Crown) finished Place (2nd place), and Seattle Slew (1977 Triple Crown) finished Show (3rd place).  The Triple Crown Showdown can be seen on the NBC Sports YouTube channel, and on the Kentucky Derby YouTube channel.

Horse Racing News

     Thoroughbred horse racing in the United States is scheduled to take place today at three tracks including Fonner Park (Nebraska), Tampa Bay Downs (Florida), and Will Rogers Downs (Oklahoma).  Daily Racing Form, and Equibase have informative websites regarding Thoroughbred racing entries, results, and cancellations.
     On Saturday, March 28th, Tiz the Law won the 2020 Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park (Florida).  Tiz the Law is a favorite to win the 2020 Kentucky Derby scheduled for Saturday, September 5th, 2020.
