2015 JLWS Recap!

The 35th Annual JLWS came to a conclusion last Sunday.  Chinese Taipei won for the 3rd straight year.

     The 35th Annual JLWS (Junior League World Series) came to a conclusion last Sunday.  Chinese Taipei won for the 3rd straight year defeating Frederick County (Virginia) 12-0 in the World Championship Game.  The Tournament was played at Heritage Park in Taylor.  Click on the link below for more information about the Junior League World Series.
     The United States pool featured 5 teams from all across the Country.  The East Region was represented by Ridgewood, New Jersey (2-2), the Southeast Region was represented by Frederick County, Virginia (2-2), the Central Region was represented by Johnston, Iowa (4-0), the Southwest Region was represented by Weslaco, Texas (0-4), and the West Region was represented by Pearl City, Hawaii (2-2).  Frederick County (Virginia) defeated Johnston (Iowa) 7-4 to win the 2015 United States Championship.
     The International pool featured 5 teams from all around the World.  Chinese Taipei (4-0) represented the Asia-Pacific Region, Villa Blanca (3-1) represented Puerto Rico, South Moravia, Czech Republic (1-3) represented the Europe & Africa Region, Aguadulce Cabezera, Panama (2-2) represented the Latin American Region, and Oakville, Ontario (0-4) represented the Canadian Region.  Chinese Taipei defeated Villa Blanca (Puerto Rico) 6-0 in the 2015 International Championship.

College Baseball: MU vs. CU

On Tuesday, the Concordia University baseball team traveled to Livonia for a doubleheader. 

     On Tuesday, the Madonna University baseball team hosted the Concordia University Cardinals for a doubleheader.  The Madonna Crusaders shutout the Cardinals in the first game to capture the 5-0 victory.  The Crusaders held on to win the second game 4-3.  Both schools compete in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), and both teams are Conference rivals in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Click on the links below for more information about the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, or the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.
     The Madonna University baseball team currently has an overall record of 20-9, and the Crusaders are 10-2 in the WHAC.  The Crusaders play all of their home games at Ilitch Ball Park, in Livonia.  Click on the link below for more information about the Madonna University athletic program.
     The Concordia University baseball team currently has an overall record of 6-21, and the Cardinals are 1-8 in the WHAC.  The Cardinals are currently riding an 8 game loosing streak.  Click on the link below for more information about the Concordia University athletic program.

Madonna University won both games against Concordia University.  The scores were 5-0, and 4-3.  

Both games were played at Ilitch Ball Park, in Livonia.  

#7 Levi Larmour is an infielder for the Crusaders.  Larmour is from Oakville, Ontario.  

#00 Mike Melcher is playing in his Senior season for Concordia.

The Madonna Crusaders currently have an overall record of 20-9.
