Taylor Fields Not Maintained





I recently noticed that the baseball, and softball fields at Heritage Park in Taylor are not being maintained.











     I recently noticed that the baseball, and softball fields at Heritage Park in Taylor are not being maintained.  The infields are filled with weeds, and the outfields are brown.  The city of Taylor has hosted the Junior League World Series since 1981, but the event will not take place this year.  Golden Hill Little League from Fullerton, California won the 2019 Junior League World Series.

2019 JLWS Photos

The city of Taylor has hosted the Junior League World Series since 1981.






The Junior League World Series features 6 USA teams, and 6 International teams.






Chinese Taipei won the Junior League World Series in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.






Golden Hill Little League from Fullerton, California won the 2019 Junior League World Series.





The games were played at Heritage Park located at 12111 Pardee Road, in Taylor.






The Junior League World Series was also featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

-  A team from Boardman, Ohio won the first Junior League World Series back in 1981.



-  The 2019 Junior League World Series was broadcast on ESPN2.  All other 2019 Junior League World Series games were broadcast on ESPN+.



-  Former MLB (Major League Baseball) player Chris Burke provided the color commentary for the 2019 Junior League World Series Final broadcast on ESPN2.



-  Louisiana defeated Curacao 8-0 to win the 2019 Little League World Series.

Chinese Taipei 9-1 Hawaii





On Sunday, Chinese Taipei defeated Hawaii 9-1 to win the 2016 Junior League World Series.











     On Sunday, Chinese Taipei defeated Hawaii 9-1 to win the 2016 Junior League World Series.  It all took place at Heritage Park located at 12111 Pardee Road, in Taylor.  The Championship Game was broadcast live on ESPNU, and at www.espn.go.com  Scroll down to see exclusive photos of the 2016 Junior League World Series Championship Game.  Click on the link below for more information about the 2016 Junior League World Series.
       The Asia-Pacific Region was represented by the Shing-Ming Junior Little League from Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipei.  Chinese Taipei finished the 2016 Junior League World Series with an overall record of 5-0.   This was the fourth straight year that Chinese Taipei has won the Junior League World Series.
     The West Region of the United States was represented by the Kawaihau Community Little League from Kapaa Kauai, Hawaii.  Hawaii finished the 2016 Junior League World Series with an overall record of 3-1.

2014 JLWS Preview!





The Junior League World Series takes place at Heritage Park in Taylor, Michigan.  It runs from Aug 9th-Aug 16th.










     The 34th annual Junior League World Series kicks off today at Heritage Park in Taylor, Michigan, and features teams from all over the world.  The Czech Republic, Canada, Mexico, Curacao, Chinese Taipei, and the United States of America will all be represented in this years tournament.  The Junior League World Series Championship will be played on Saturday, August 16th, and a replayed version of the game will be broadcast on ESPN 2.
     The United States Pool is divided into 5 Regions.  Newark, Delaware is representing the East Region, Rutherford County, North Carolina is representing the Southeast Region, Midland, Michigan is representing the Central Region, Corpus Christi, Texas is representing the Southwest Region, and Manhattan/Hermosa Beach, California is representing the West Region.  The United States Championship game will be played on Thursday, August 14th, at 8:00 p.m.
     The International Pool is divided into 5 Regions.  Tai Chung, Chinese Taipei is representing the Asia-Pacific Region, Mexicali, Baja California is representing the Mexico Region, Brno, Czech Republic is representing the Europe & Africa Region, Willemstad, Curacao is representing the Latin America Region, and Regina, Saskatchewan is represnting the Canada Region.  The International Championship game will be played on Thursday, August 14th, at 5:00 p.m.
