Soccer: NWSL News
The 2019 NWSL (National Women's Soccer League) season features 9 teams including the Chicago Red Stars, the Houston Dash, the North Carolina Courage, the Orlando Pride, Portland Thorns FC, Reign FC, Sky Blue FC, Utah Royals FC, and the Washington Spirit. 2019 NWSL regular season games, semi-finals, and Championship Game can be seen on the ESPN family of networks.
The Chicago Red Stars are currently in 1st place in the NWSL standings with 29 points, and an overall record of 9-5-2 (2 ties). The North Carolina Courage are currently in 2nd place in the NWSL standings with 28 points, and an overall record of 8-3-4 (4 ties). The North Carolina Courage are the defending NWSL Champions.

NWSL On Lifetime
NWSL (National Women's Soccer League) games can be seen on Saturday afternoons on Lifetime. Lifetime is not known for broadcasting live games, but several non-traditional sports networks have recently decided to dive into the wide world of sports. There are currently 10 teams competing in the 2017 NWSL season including the Boston Breakers, the Chicago Red Stars, the Houston Dash, the Orlando Pride, the Washington Spirit, the North Carolina Courage, FC Kansas City, Portland Thorns FC, Seattle Reign FC, and Sky Blue FC.
Several players in the NWSL have ties to the state of Michigan. Portland Thorns FC Forward #26 Mallory Weber is from Novi, Michigan, Seattle Reign FC Goalkeeper #28 Haley Kopmeyer is from Troy, Michigan, and FC Kansas City Midfielder #15 Erika Tymrak is from Detroit, Michigan.
The North Carolina Courage are currently in 1st place in the NWSL standings with 12 points, and an overall record of 4-2. The next NWSL televised game features the Houston Dash vs. the Seattle Reign FC, and can be seen on Saturday, May 27th, at 3:30 p.m. on Lifetime.
