The Cleveland Guardians recently signed Pitcher #16 Matthew Boyd to a one-year contract. Matthew Boyd played for the Detroit Tigers from 2015-2021, and again in 2023. The Toronto Blue Jays selected Matthew Boyd in the 6th round (175th overall pick) of the 2013 MLB Draft. Matthew Boyd grew up in the state of Washington.
The Cleveland Guardians are currently in 1st place in the AL Central standings with an overall record of 54-31.
