Henry Ford vs. Jackson





On Tuesday, March 28th, the Henry Ford College Hawks hosted the Jackson College Jets for a baseball doubleheader. 











     On Tuesday, March 28th, the Henry Ford College Hawks hosted the Jackson College Jets for a baseball doubleheader.  The Jets defeated the Hawks in both 7 inning games by scores of 11-1, and 5-3.  Both games were played at Papp Park located off of Westlake Street, in Taylor.  The Hawks, and Jets are both NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division II programs, and both schools compete against each other in the Eastern Conference of the MCCAA (Michigan Community College Athletic Association).  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.  Click on the links below for more information about the NJCAA, or the MCCAA.

#17 Steven Milke warmed up in the bullpen.  Milke is playing in Sophomore season with the HFC Hawks.  





The Henry Ford College Hawks play their home games at Papp Park, in Taylor.






#21 Tyler Kelly was on the hill for the Hawks.  Kelly is playing in his Freshman season for the HFC Hawks.






#28 Adam Freiman got on base for the Jets.  Freiman is playing in his Sophomore season for Jackson College.






#37 Christian Jaworski bats left, and throws left.  Jaworski is playing in his Sophomore season for the Jackson College Jets.

-  Tim Leighton Sr. is the Head Coach of the Henry Ford College baseball team.



-  Michael Abney is the Assistant Coach of the Henry Ford College baseball team.



-  Rick Smith is the Head Coach of the Jackson College baseball team.



-  Gary Goodwin is an Assistant Coach, and a Pitching Coach for the Jackson College baseball team.



-  Clyde Alexander is an Assistant Coach for the Jackson College baseball team.



-  Jackson College tied Kellogg Community College 19-19 on Monday, March 27th, 2017.



-  The Henry Ford College baseball team was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2014, and 2015.

All Access Archives

All Access: Papp Park





The Henry Ford Hawks play all of their home games at Papp Park located at 9350 Westlake, in Taylor.

The Henry Ford Hawks use this dugout during home games.  It includes benches, a concrete floor, and protective fencing!






The Mitten State Sports Report was on the field for this exclusive photo of Papp Park!






The Hawks hone their skills inside this enclosed hitting facility. 






The Hawks bullpen features two mounds.  This allows multiple relievers to warm up.  The visiting team has no bullpen. 






The visitors dugout at Papp Park also serves as a storage unit.

Henry Ford vs. Ancilla




On Saturday, Henry Ford College defeated Ancilla College twice.  The scores were 12-3, and 6-1.  #19 Eric Harris went yard!   










     On Saturday, the Henry Ford College Baseball team hosted the Ancilla College Chargers for a doubleheader. The Hawks won the 1st game 12-3, and won the 2nd game 6-1.  Both games were played at Papp Park, and both matchups lasted 7 innings.  Papp Park is located at 9350 Westlake, in Taylor.  The Hawks, and Chargers are both NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division II programs, and both schools compete against each other in the MCCAA (Michigan Community College Athletic Association) Conference.  Click on the links below for more information about the NJCAA, or the MCCAA Conference. #13 Layne Gusler is playing in his Sophomore season for the Henry Ford Hawks!





#27 Chris Holcomb closed the game.  Holcomb threw gas to the Chargers hitters!






Henry Ford celebrated 2 victories over the Chargers.  The Hawks currently have an overall record of 9-5.

College Baseball Photo Album





The 2015 college baseball season is underway!  





Our local teams are currently playing in warmer weather!

Henry Ford vs. Glen Oaks





Henry Ford Community College hosted Glen Oaks Community College (in green) yesterday. #26 Emmit Fraley pitched!  





Hawks Head Coach Steve Brown (in blue) usually coaches 3B when his team is on offense.





The Vikings used a makeshift bullpen in the woods of Papp Park.  The Hawks play all of their home games at Papp Park.





Vikings infielder #24 Theodore Rufo gets set to dig in!  Rufo is a sophomore at Glen Oaks Community College.





Henry Ford has played in several close games this season! #25 Christopher Mangus played 1B for the Vikings.  





#9 Ryan Estep made it to 3B for the Vikings.  #21 Kevin Nisun attempted to leave him stranded there.





Glen Oaks Community College won both games yesterday.  The scores were 12-1 (in 5 innings), and 8-6 (in 7 innings).
