On Sunday afternoon, the Traverse City Hounds defeated the Detroit Fighting Irish 8-0. The win wrapped up a three game weekend series at the Brownstown Sports Center, which is formerly known as the Ice Box. The Fighting Irish earned a 2-0 win over the Hounds on Friday, but the Hounds recovered to win 7-3 on Saturday. The Detroit Fighting Irish play all of their home games at the Brownstown Sports Center, located at 21902 Telegraph Road, in Brownstown Township.
The Traverse City Hounds are currently in 1st place in the MWJHL (Midwest Junior Hockey League) standings with 75 points, and an overall record of 36-6 (1 overtime loss, and 2 shootout losses).
