-  The Wild Wings hockey team was made up of officials from the city of Westland.



-  Blue Sky Ice Cream and Hamburger is located in Romulus.



-  Bellator 124 took place at the venue formerly known as Compuware Arena.



-  The Old Car Festival takes place annually at Greenfield Village, in Dearborn.



-  The Plymouth Whalers were sold, and relocated to Flint in 2015.

Bucks 3 - Chill 2 - OT





Last Friday, the Michigan Bucks defeated the Thunder Bay Chill 3-2 in overtime.











     Last Friday, the Michigan Bucks defeated the Thunder Bay Chill 3-2 (in overtime) at the Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac.  Both teams compete in the PDL (Premier Development League), and Friday's matchup was part of the 2015 Central Conference Championships.  Click on the links below for more information about the PDL, or the Ultimate Soccer Arenas.      The Michigan Bucks finished the 2015 regular season with an overall record of 11-1-2.  David Goldsmith lead the Bucks in scoring this season with 10 goals, and Demir Muftari is the teams Head Coach.  Click on the link below for more information about the Michigan Bucks.  Scroll down to check out exclusive photos from last Friday's PDL showdown.
     The Thunder Bay Chill finished the 2015 regular season with an overall record of 9-2-3.  The Chill are from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Giovanni Petraglia is their Head Coach, and the team was lead in scoring by Brandon Swartzendruber with 9 goals.  Click on the link below for more information about the Thunder Bay Chill.  










The Thunder Bay Chill finished the regular season with an overall record of 9-2-3.






The Michigan Bucks lost to K-W United FC 3-1 on Saturday night.

Buck To Dynamo!





Zach Steinberger (in white) was selected 8th overall in the MLS SuperDraft! Steinberger now plays for the Houston Dynamo!












     Zach Steinberger was selected with the 8th overall pick of the 2015 MLS (Major League Soccer) SuperDraft, and he will now play professional soccer for the Houston Dynamo!  Steinberger spent his college career as a four year starting Midfielder for the Butler Bulldogs.  Steinberger also played four seasons (as a Midfielder) for the Michigan Bucks, of the PDL (Premier Development League).
     As a Butler Bulldog, Steinberger recorded 14 goals, and accumulated 15 assists.  Steinberger was also named to three different All-Conference teams including the Horizon League, the Atlantic 10, and the Big East. Click on the link below for more information about Butler University athletics.
     In 2014, Zach Steinberger was a part of a Michigan Bucks team that won the PDL Championship. Steinberger was also named to the PDL All XI.  Click on the link below for more information about the Michigan Bucks, or the Premier Development League.
     The Houston Dynamo currently have an overall record of 1-0.  Last Saturday, the Dynamo hosted, and defeated the Columbus Crew SC 1-0 in the opening game of the 2015 MLS regular season.  Click on the links below for more information about the Houston Dynamo, or Major League Soccer.

Pictures of 2014





2014 began with the Plymouth Ice Festival! The temperature was too warm for the ice, but there was a wood carver on duty.





We watched college hockey games in February.  The Lawrence Tech University hockey team was featured.





In March, we visited the Gibraltar Trade Center in Taylor.  It has since been closed.  There is a location in Mount Clemens.





College baseball dominated the month of April.  Madonna University was featured.





We also checked out some college softball games.  The Henry Ford Community College softball team was featured.





We went to the ARCA races at Flat Rock Speedway during the summer!





The 2015 ARCA racing season will be here in no time.





We checked in on the Michigan Bucks soccer club.  The Bucks won the 2014 PDL Championship!





Even recreational sports leagues are on the Mitten State Sports Report. Check out the Michigan United Soccer League.





In August, we went to see the Tony Hawk Skate Tour.  





Tony Hawk, and the Birdhouse Crew performed skateboarding tricks in Farmington Hills.





The Mitten State Sports Report took in all of the sights at the 4th Annual Cruisin' Hines.





We saw unique cars at the St. Robert Bellarmine weekly Classic Car show.





We checked out all of the Classics at the Blue Sky weekly Classic Car show.





In September, we went to the Old Car Festival in Dearborn.




Some people dressed up for the Old Car Festival. and some folks even brought their old bicycles.  





Emanuel Newton (kneeling) defended his Light Heavyweight World Title at Bellator 124.





Liam McGeary won the Light Heavyweight Tournament.  The Bellator Girls held the check. 





In October, we went to the Henry Ford Museum.   Bill Elliot use to race this 1987 (Coors) Ford Thunderbird.





The Henry Ford Museum has something for everyone.




We celebrated goals with the Plymouth Whalers.





The Plymouth Whalers are playing in their final season at Compuware Arena.  The team is believed to be moving to Flint.





We witnessed a double overtime win at Schoolcraft College.   The Ocelots finished the 2014 season 17-3-1.





In November we went to Ann Arbor to watch some college football.  The Mitten State Sports Report found the end zone.





The Concordia University cheerleaders made the pyramid.  





We said goodbye to the Berkley Bruins.  The Bruins became the latest local sports team to become dormant.
