UofD 6 - LTU 4

On Sunday night, the University of Detroit Mercy defeated Lawrence Tech University 6-4.

The Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils hosted the University of Detroit Mercy Titans on Sunday night, just one night after loosing to the Titans 3-2 on the road.  Lawrence Tech allowed the University of Detroit to take an early 2-0 lead, and even though the Blue Devils fought hard to get back into the game, the deficit would prove to be to much.  Every time that the Blue Devils scored, the Titans answered with a goal of their own, steering away any momentum that the Blue Devils were building.  The Blue Devils pulled their goalie (George Grzywacz) late in the contest, but the moved backfired when the University of Detroit added an empty net goal with four seconds remaining.  The Titans hung on to earn the 6-4 victory over the Blue Devils at the Southfield Ice Arena.
The University of Detroit Mercy competes in Division 3 of the ACHA.  The Titans currently have 20 points, and an overall record of 10-8.  Click on the link below for more information about the University of Detroit Mercy hockey team.
