FPHL Adds Battle Creek







     The 2019-2020 FPHL (Federal Prospects Hockey League) season will feature 10 teams including the Battle Creek Rumble Bees, the Carolina Thunderbirds, the Columbus River Dragons (Columbus, Georgia), the Danbury Hat Tricks, the Danville Dashers, the Delaware Thunder, the Elmira Enforcers, the Mentor Ice Breakers, the Port Huron Prowlers, and the Watertown Wolves.  The FPHL was formerly known as the FHL (Federal Hockey League).
     The 2019-2020 Federal Prospects Hockey League is divided into two divisions known as the Eastern Division, and the Western Division.  There were only six teams that competed in the 2018-2019 FHL season.  The Carolina Thunderbirds defeated the Elmira Enforcers three games to one to win the 2019 Commissioner's Cup (FHL Championship).

-  The FPHL is a professional hockey league.



-  The 2019-2020 FPHL Preseason begins on Friday, October 18th.



-  The Battle Creek Rumble Bees recently held a tryout, and signed 10 players.  Former Eastern Michigan University Goaltender Kevin O'Shea, and former Eastern Michigan University Defenseman Aaron Bessey both signed with the Rumble Bees.



-  The Battle Creek Rumble Bees, the Columbus River Dragons (Columbus, Georgia), the Danbury Hat Tricks, and the Delaware Thunder are all 2019-2020 FPHL expansion teams.  



- The St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints competed in the FHL during the 2016-2017 season.



-  The Danbury Titans, and the Delaware Federals are also dormant franchises that competed in the FHL.



-  The Port Huron Prowlers played their first season in the FHL in 2015-2016.



-  The Port Huron Prowlers won the 2016 Commissioner's Cup (FHL Championship).

Saints Left St. Clair Shores







     The St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints competed in the 2016-2017 FHL (Federal Hockey League) season, but the Saints have relocated to Ontario, Canada.  The North Shore Knights (Ontario, Canada) are one of two new teams competing in the 2017-2018 FHL season.  The Carolina Thunderbirds will also play their first season in the FHL as an expansion team.  The Port Huron Prowlers are the only remaining FHL franchise located in Michigan.  Click on the links below for more information about the FHL, or the Port Huron Prowlers.
     The FHL is a professional hockey league featuring 6 teams for the 2017-2018 season.  The FHL featured 7 teams last season, but the Danbury Titans, and the Berlin River Drivers both ceased operations.  The Cornwall Nationals, the Watertown Wolves, and the Danville Dashers also compete in the FHL. The Danville Dashers won the 2017 FHL Playoffs to claim the Commissioner's Cup.

-  Several FHL teams have folded since the league began operations in the 2010-2011 season.



-  The Port Huron Prowlers won the 2016 Commissioner's Cup.



-  The St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints finished the 2016-2017 FHL season with 40 points, and an overall record of 11-40 -3-1 (11 wins, 40 losses, 3 overtime wins, and 1 overtime loss).



-  The Mitten State Sports Report posted "FHL In Michigan"  on 2/13/2017.

FHL In Michigan







      The FHL (Federal Hockey League) is a professional hockey league that features two teams from the state of Michigan.  The Port Huron Prowlers, and the St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints are competing in the 2016-2017 FHL season.  The Port Huron Prowlers joined the league last season, and won the 2015-2016 FHL Playoffs to claim the Commissioners Cup.  The St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints are an expansion team playing in their first season with the FHL.  Click on the link below for more information about the Federal Hockey League.
     The Port Huron Prowlers are currently in 5th place in the FHL standings with 52 points, and an overall record of 14-14-1-8 (1 overtime win, and 8 overtime losses).  The St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints are currently in 7th place in the FHL standings with 37 points, and an overall record of 10-23-3-1 (3 overtime wins, and 1 overtime loss).  Click on the links below for more information about the Port Huron Prowlers, or the St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints.
