Waza Flo 19-3 Nighthawks





On Sunday, March 1st, the Detroit Waza Flo defeated the Youngstown Nighthawks 19-3.











     On Sunday, March 1st, the Detroit Waza Flo defeated the Youngstown Nighthawks 19-3.  Both teams compete against each other in the Great Lakes Division of the PASL (Premier Arena Soccer League).  Sunday's game was played at the Taylor Sportsplex located at 13333 Telegraph Road, in Taylor.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of PASL action in Taylor.
     The Detroit Waza Flo are currently in 5th place in the PASL Great Lakes Division standings with 6 points, and an overall record of 2-4.  The Youngstown Nighthawks are currently in 8th place in the PASL Great Lakes Division standings with 3 points, and an overall record of 1-6.  There are 8 teams competing in the PASL Great Lakes Division this season.
     The Detroit Waza Flo are currently riding a two game winning streak.  The Waza Flo will finish up their 2019-2020 PASL regular season schedule this Sunday, March 8th, when they will host the Chicago Mustangs at the Taylor Sportsplex.

Swerve 4-3 Waza Flo





On Sunday, January 19th, the Cincinnati Swerve defeated the Detroit Waza Flo 4-3.











     On Sunday, January 19th, the Cincinnati Swerve defeated the Detroit Waza Flo 4-3.  Both teams compete against each other in the Great Lakes Division of the PASL (Premier Arena Soccer League).  The game was played at the Taylor Sportsplex located at 13333 Telegraph Road in Taylor.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of PASL action in Taylor.
     The Cincinnati Swerve are currently in 1st place in the PASL Great Lakes Division standings with 9 points, and an overall record of 3-0.  The Cincinnati Swerve are the defending (2018-2019) PASL Champions.  The Detroit Waza Flo are currently in 8th place in the PASL Great Lakes Division standings with 0 points, and an overall record of 0-3.
     The Detroit Waza Flo are scheduled to play four PASL home games this season at the Taylor Sportsplex.  The Waza Flo will play their next PASL home game against the Indiana Lions on Sunday, February 16th, at 5:30 p.m.  The Waza Flo will host the Youngstown Nighthawks on Sunday, March 1st, at 5:30 p.m.  The Waza Flo will finish up their 2019-2020 PASL regular season schedule on Sunday, March 8th, (at 5:30 p.m.) when they will host the Chicago Mustangs.

New Home For EMU Hockey





The Eastern Michigan University hockey team (in white) is moving to the Cube (in Ann Arbor) next season.











     The Eastern Michigan University hockey team will have a new home for the 2016-2017 season.  The Eagles are moving into the Cube located at Richard L Kennedy Drive, in Ann Arbor.  The Eagles have played their home games at the Taylor Sportsplex for several seasons, but the move to Ann Arbor will be much closer to the campus of Eastern Michigan University.  The Cube is currently home to several High School hockey teams including Ann Arbor Huron High School, Ann Arbor Pioneer High School, Saline High School, and Father Gabriel Richard High School.  The Cube is also the home of the Ann Arbor Amateur Hockey Association, and the Wolverine Speed Skating Team.  Click on the link below for more information about the Cube in Ann Arbor.

Davenport 10 - 2 EMU





The Davenport University Panthers currently have an overall record of 24-3.











     On Friday night, the Davenport University Panthers defeated the Eastern Michigan University Eagles 10-2. The game was played at the Taylor Sportsplex, and the Panthers outshot the Eagles 57-24.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), and both clubs are rivals in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League).  Click on the links below for more information about the ACHA, the GLCHL, or the Taylor Sportsplex.

Illinois State 10 - 0 EMU





On Saturday night, Illinois State University (in black, and red) defeated Eastern Michigan University 10-0.











     On Saturday night, the Illinois State University Redbirds outshot (33-19), and eventually defeated the Eastern Michigan University Eagles 10-0.  The Redbirds were aided by a hat trick performance from their goal scoring leader #93 Parker Johnson.  Both hockey teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).  Click on the link below for more information about the ACHA.

Adrian 11 - 0 EMU





On Saturday, Adrian College defeated Eastern Michigan University 11-0.











     On Saturday night, the Adrian College Bulldogs outshot (41-22), and eventually defeated the Eastern Michigan University Eagles 11-0.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), and both schools are Conference rivals in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League). The Eagles play all of their home games at the Taylor Sportsplex located at 13333 Telegraph Road, in Taylor. College Hockey: EMU vs. DU





On Saturday night, the Eastern Michigan University hockey team (in green) hosted Davenport University (in red). 











     The Davenport University hockey team visited the Taylor Sportsplex, on Saturday night, for a college hockey showdown against Eastern Michigan University.  The Davenport Panthers won the game 7-1, and outshot the EMU Eagles 40-24 in the process.  Saturday night's game was the final home game of the season for the Eastern Michigan University hockey team.
     The Davenport University hockey team is currently in 2nd place in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League) standings with 45 points, and an overall record of 20-15 (1 overtime loss, and 4 shootout losses).  The Panthers are currently ranked #13th in the Nation according to the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) Division I Poll.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from Saturday night's game.  Click on the link below for more information about Davenport University athletics.

Co-Ed Indoor Soccer





On Saturday night, the Orange Team (in orange) battled the Red Team (in red) in a Co-Ed Indoor Soccer Showdown!









     The Taylor Sportsplex features 2 hockey rinks, along with 2 indoor soccer arenas.  There are several indoor soccer leagues for different age groups, and there are adult leagues for men, and women.  Co-Ed leagues are also available for kids, and adults. The Taylor Sportsplex is located at 13333 Telegraph Road.  Click on the links below for more information.
     On Saturday night, the Orange Team (in orange) battled the Red Team (in red) in a Co-Ed Indoor Soccer matchup.  The Orange Team controlled the tempo, and defeated the Red Team 7-3.  The teams played two 25 minute halves.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from Saturday night's Co-Ed indoor soccer showdown.

Adrian 7 - EMU 5





Adrian College defeated Eastern Michigan University 7-5 on Saturday night.









     The Adrian College Bulldogs came into the Taylor Sportsplex on Saturday night ranked #6 in the Nation according to the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) Poll.  Adrian defeated the Eastern Michigan University Eagles 7-5, but the game was a back and forth battle.  The Bulldogs opened up a 3-0 lead, but the Eagles came back, and actually lead the game late in the third period.  The Adrian Bulldogs scored 2 quick goals, and then added an empty net goal in the final minute of regulation.  Both schools compete in Division I of the ACHA, and both teams are Conference rivals in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League). EMU Hockey in Taylor





Last Sunday, Eastern Michigan University (in gray) defeated Slippery Rock University (in black) 8-3.











     The Eastern Michigan University hockey team competes in Division I of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), and the Eagles play all of their home games at the Taylor Sportsplex.  EMU competes in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League) along with six other local schools.  The Eagles are currently in 7th place in the GLCHL standings with 8 points and an overall record of 4-11.  EMU is currently ranked 46th in the Country according to the ACHA Division  I Poll.  Click on past months to see exclusive photos from several Eastern Michigan University hockey games.  Scroll down to see photos from last Sunday's ACHA showdown..

Oakland 10 - EMU 5





On Sunday, Oakland University (in black) defeated Eastern Michigan University (in green) 10-5.










     On Sunday afternoon, the Oakland University hockey team earned a 10-5 road victory over the Eastern Michigan University Eagles. The game was played at the Taylor Sportsplex, and Oakland University picked up the win, despite being outshot 41-32 by the Eagles.  Both teams play in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), and both clubs compete against each other in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League). Eastern Michigan University plays all of their home games at the Taylor Sportsplex. 




Both teams played a physical brand of hockey.  





The Golden Grizzlies, and the Eagles both compete in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League).  





The Eagles outshot the Golden Grizzlies 41-32.  The two teams combined to score 15 goals.





The Golden Grizzlies improved their overall record to 5-6.  The Eagles dropped to 2-7 overall.
