UofM-D 6-5 Davenport

On Friday, January 26th, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Davenport University Panthers 6-5.

     On Friday, January 26th, the University of Michigan Dearborn Wolverines defeated the Davenport University Panthers 6-5 in a shootout.  The Wolverines also defeated the Panthers 6-5 on Saturday night.  Both schools compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), but the Wolverines also compete in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Division of the ACHA.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from last Friday's college hockey game.

Madonna vs. Davenport

The Madonna University Crusaders recently hosted the Davenport University Panthers for a three game series. 

     The Madonna University Crusaders recently hosted the Davenport University Panthers for a three game series at Ilitch Park, in Livonia.  The Panthers defeated the Crusaders 5-3 on Saturday afternoon in front of a large crowd.  The Crusaders won both games of Sunday's doubleheader by scores of 11-7, and 9-3.  Madonna University, and Davenport University are both NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) programs, and both schools compete against each other in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Click on the links below for more information about the NAIA, or the WHAC. #6 Ryan Lambrecht got on base for the Crusaders.  Lambrecht is playing in his Senior season for Madonna University.

#15 Jalen Thomas went 4 for 5 with 2 runs, and 3 RBI (Runs batted in).

The Davenport University men's ice hockey team (in red) competes in the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association).

     The Big South Network features live, and on demand ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) hockey games.  Some of the archived games include local schools such as Davenport University, and Oakland University.  The Big South Network hockey broadcasts are exceptional, and are comparable to other, bigger Conference networks.  Click on the links below for more information about the Big South Network, or the ACHA.

Davenport 10 - 2 EMU

The Davenport University Panthers currently have an overall record of 24-3.

     On Friday night, the Davenport University Panthers defeated the Eastern Michigan University Eagles 10-2. The game was played at the Taylor Sportsplex, and the Panthers outshot the Eagles 57-24.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), and both clubs are rivals in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League).  Click on the links below for more information about the ACHA, the GLCHL, or the Taylor Sportsplex.

College Hockey: EMU vs. DU

On Saturday night, the Eastern Michigan University hockey team (in green) hosted Davenport University (in red). 

     The Davenport University hockey team visited the Taylor Sportsplex, on Saturday night, for a college hockey showdown against Eastern Michigan University.  The Davenport Panthers won the game 7-1, and outshot the EMU Eagles 40-24 in the process.  Saturday night's game was the final home game of the season for the Eastern Michigan University hockey team.
     The Davenport University hockey team is currently in 2nd place in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League) standings with 45 points, and an overall record of 20-15 (1 overtime loss, and 4 shootout losses).  The Panthers are currently ranked #13th in the Nation according to the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) Division I Poll.  Scroll down to see exclusive photos from Saturday night's game.  Click on the link below for more information about Davenport University athletics.

College Hockey: UofM-D vs. DU

On Friday night, Davenport University (in red) defeated the University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team 3-1.

      On Friday night, the University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team hosted, and lost to Davenport University 3-1.  The game was tied 1-1 with about five minutes left in the second period, but the Panthers scored 2 quick goals to take a 3-1 lead into the locker room.  The Panthers held on for the victory, but the game was very competitive, and also fun to watch.  Both hockey clubs are Conference rivals in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League), and both teams are ranked in the Top 20 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) Division I Poll.
      The Davenport University hockey team is currently ranked #18th in the Country according to the ACHA Division I Poll.  The  Panthers are currently in 2nd place in the GLCHL standings with 39 points, and an overall record of 17-15 (1 overtime loss, and 4 shootout losses).  Davenport also fields an ACHA Division II hockey team, and an ACHA Division III hockey club.  Click on the link below for more information about the Davenport University athletic program.
