On Thursday, January 30th, the Youngstown Phantoms defeated the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) U-17 Team 6-5 in a shootout. Phantoms Defenseman #13 Luke Osburn scored the game winning goal in the shootout. Luke Osburn is from Plymouth, Michigan.
The USA NTDP, and the Youngstown Phantoms both compete in the Eastern Conference of the USHL (United States Hockey League). Team USA plays their home games at USA Hockey Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, in Plymouth, Michigan. Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of USHL action in Plymouth.
The Youngstown Phantoms are currently in 3rd place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 51 points, and an overall record of 25-15-0-1 (1 shootout loss). Team USA is currently in 8th place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 25 points, and an overall record of 11-23-1-2 (1 overtime loss, and 2 shootout losses).
