Antoine Davis In Rip City

 



     #44 Antoine Davis is currently playing Guard in the NBA G League for the Rip City Remix (Portland, Oregon).  Antoine Davis played college basketball for the University of Detroit Mercy Titans from 2018-2023.  Davis went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft.  Antoine Davis was born in Bloomington, Indiana.  

      The Rip City Remix are currently in 8th place in the NBA G League Western Conference standings with an overall record of 10-8.  Antoine Davis is currently averaging 18.7 points per game in 18 games played this season.  Davis averaged 28.2 points per game last season in his final year at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Rockers 3-1 Black Bears

     On Saturday, February, 10th, the Motor City Rockers defeated the Binghamton Black Bears 3-1.  Both teams compete in the FPHL (Federal Prospects Hockey League).  Saturday night's game was played at Big Boy Arena located at 34400 Utica Road, in Fraser, Michigan.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of professional hockey in Fraser. 

      Motor City Rockers Forward #88 Scott Coash currently leads the team in points with 35.  Coash has accumulated 18 goals, and 17 assists in 29 games played this season.  Rockers Forward #29 Pavel Svintsov has produced 7 goals, 23 assists, and 30 points in 32 games played this season.  Rockers Defenseman #6 Jameson Milam has contributed 7 goals, 23 assists, and 30 points in 36 games played this season.    

     The Binghamton Black Bears are currently in 1st place in the FPHL Empire Division standings with 77 points, and an overall record of 24-5-6 (6 overtime losses).  The Black Bears have 1 shootout win so far this season.  The Motor City Rockers are currently in 2nd place in the FPHL Empire Division standings with 60 points, and an overall record of 20-12-4 (4 overtime losses).  The Rockers have 3 overtime wins, and 1 shootout win so far this season.

     The FPHL awards 3 points to a team for a win in regulation.  2 points are awarded for a win in overtime, or a shootout victory.  1 point is awarded for a loss in overtime.  The 2023-2024 FPHL season features 11 teams.  There are 6 teams competing in the Continental Division, and 5 teams competing in the Empire Division.

Soccer On Golazo Network

 



     Live soccer tournaments, and league games from all around the World can be seen for free on the CBS Sports Golazo Network.  Some of the leagues featured on the CBS Golazo Sports Network include Liga Profesional de Futbol (Argentine Primera Division), Serie A (Italian football league), and Scottish Premiership (Scottish Professional Football League).  

     The AFC Asian Cup Final featuring Qatar vs. Jordan can be seen live on the CBS Sports Golazo Network on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The CBS Sports Golazo Network can be watched for free on CBS.com, and on Pluto TV.  CBS Sports Golazo can also be seen with a subscription to Paramount Plus. 

     River Plate is currently in first place in the Liga Profesional de Futbol Group A standings with 7 points, and an overall record of 2-0-1 (1 draw).  Instituto ACC is currently in second place in the Liga Profesional de Futbol Group A standings with 7 points, and an overall record of 2-0-1 (1 draw).  Independiente is currently in third place in the Liga Profesional de Futbol Group A standings with 7 points, and an overall record of 2-1-1 (1 draw).

2024 Plymouth Ice Festival

     The 42nd Annual Plymouth Ice Festival took place last weekend in downtown Plymouth.  Dozens of ice sculptures were displayed at Kellogg Park, and in front of businesses throughout the downtown area.  The temperatures were down in the twenties at night, and up to the mid-forties during the day.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs from the 2024 Plymouth Ice Festival.  The pictures were taken on Monday, February 5th, one day after the event ended.

Trey Burke Inactive

 



      Trey Burke began the 2023-2024 season playing Point Guard in the NBA G League for the Mexico City Capitanes.  Burke was injured earlier in the season and has remained on the inactive list since December.  Trey Burke played college basketball for the University of Michigan from 2011-2013.  The Minnesota Timberwolves selected Trey Burke in the first round (9th overall pick) of the 2013 NBA Draft, but Burke was immediately traded to the Utah Jazz.  Trey Burke was born in Columbus, Ohio.  

     The Mexico City Capitanes are currently in 5th place in the NBA G League Western Conference standings with an overall record of 9-5.  The Capitanes roster also features Forward Juan Toscano-Anderson, and Forward Kenneth Faried (also known as "the Manimal").  Trey Burke averaged 21.7 points per game, and 2.6 assists per game in 10 games played this season.

Stanley Johnson In Stockton

 



     #14 Stanley Johnson is currently playing Forward in the NBA G League for the Stockton Kings.  Johnson played for the Detroit Pistons from 2015-2019.  The Pistons selected Stanley Johnson in the first round (8th overall pick) of the 2015 NBA Draft.  Stanley Johnson was born in Anaheim, California.

     The Stockton Kings are currently in 7th place in the NBA G League Western Conference standings with an overall record of 9-6.  Stanley Johnson is currently averaging 12.8 points per game, and 4.3 rebounds per game in 15 games played this season.

USA 5-3 Youngstown

 


On Thursday, February 1st, the USA NTDP U-18 Team defeated the Youngstown Phantoms 5-3.




     On Thursday, February 1st, the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) U-18 Team defeated the Youngstown Phantoms 5-3.  Both teams compete in the USHL (United States Hockey League).  Thursday night's game was played at the USA Hockey Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, in Plymouth, Michigan.  Scroll down to see exclusive photographs of Thursday's USHL game in Plymouth. 

     The Youngstown Phantoms are currently in 3rd place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 49 points, and an overall record of 22-11-4-1 (4 overtime losses, and 1 shootout loss).  The Phantoms roster currently features five players from the state of Michigan including Goaltender #73 Owen Bartoszkiewicz (Northville), Defenseman #13 Luke Osburn (Plymouth), Forward #58 Adam Pietila (Howell), Forward #39 Brecken Smith (Jackson), and Defenseman #18 Jack Wilson (Northville).  

     Team USA is currently in 8th place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 28 points, and an overall record of 13-22-1-1 (1 overtime loss, and 1 shootout loss).  The USA NTDP U-18 Team roster currently features three players from the state of Michigan including Forward #9 Austin Baker (White Lake), Defenseman #7 Dakoda Rheaume-Mullen (Northville), and Forward #19 Lucas Van Vliet (Livonia).

Sports On Tubi

 



     Tubi is a free streaming service that features lots of sports.  Some of the sports channels on Tubi include the ACCDN (Atlantic Coast Conference Digital Network), beIn SPORTS Xtra, Fox Sports on Tubi, Fubo Sports Network, MotorTrend FAST TV, Pac-12 Insider, PokerGO, Stadium, and USA Today Sports.  Tubi also has channels for the NBA G League, MLB, NFL, NHL, NHRA, and the PGA.  Tubi is owned by the Fox Corporation.

Titans Winless




     The University of Detroit Mercy Men's basketball team is winless so far this season.  The Titans currently have a conference record of 0-12, and an overall record of 0-23.  The University of Detroit Mercy is a NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division I program, and the Titans compete in the Horizon League.

     The University of Detroit Mercy Men's basketball team currently has three players averaging over ten points a game including Guard #14 Jayden Stone (20.1 points per game), Guard #4 Marcus Tankersley (14.7 points per game), and Guard #11 Ryan Hurst (12.4 points per game).  Hurst has only played in five games this season.
