Mitten State Sports Report's Series Notes

-  Chicago was lead by Michael Jordan, and assisted by Scottie Pippen, but the Bulls were more then just a 2 man team!

-  Reggie Miller would have a good series but his points would be offset by the contributions of Michael      Jordan!

-  The Bulls would have the edge in rebounding with Rodman, Longley, and the rest of the Bulls!

-  The Bulls bench players including Kukoc, and Kerr would outplay the Pacers bench players!

-  The Bulls went 15-3 in the 1996 NBA Playoffs en route to an NBA Championship!

-  The Pacers went 13-10 in the 2000 NBA Playoffs, and lost to the Lakers in the NBA Finals!

Mitten State Sports Report's Series Projection

Game 1  Chicago  101 -  Indiana  90

Game 2  Chicago  112 -  Indiana  100

Game 3  Indiana  93  -  Chicago  92

Game 4  Chicago  114 -  Indiana  99

Game 5  Chicago  96  -  Indiana  93

Chicago Bulls '1995-1996' advance over the Indiana Pacers '1999-2000' in 5 games!

How do you think the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls would do against the 1999-2000 Indiana Pacers?

NBA All-Time Playoffs! 1st Rnd.

Scroll down and check out the Mitten State Sports Report's NBA All-Time Playoffs!

The 2014 NBA (National Basketball Association) Playoffs are underway, and many people are calling it the best 1st round in postseason history.  The Mitten State Sports Report began wondering what would happen if some of the best teams in basketball history could square off against each other.  I've decided to post an NBA All-Time Playoffs featuring some of the best teams to ever step on the hardwood.  Not every team qualified for the NBA All-Time Playoffs!  Only teams after the 1980 season could qualify for the tournament.  Only one team from each franchise qualified, so the "Bad Boys" of the l989 season will not face the 2004 Pistons lead by Chauncey "Mr. Big Shot" Billups, and Ben "Big Ben" Wallace.  A team must have also won their Conference Championship.  Every team that made the NBA All-Time Playoffs played in the NBA Finals.
The teams have been seeded according to their regular season records for the year in which the team represents.  A new post will be designed after the first round has been completed.  The Mitten State Sports Report will break down each matchup with roster information, notes, and projections for each series.  Three days of voting will be dedicated to every Playoff series, so scroll down and vote for the team that you think would advance in a 7 game series.  The team with the lower seed would have the home-court advantage.  Scroll down and check out the matchups for the NBA All-Time Playoffs!  You can always leave a comment, and you can email the Mitten State Sports Report directly at mittenstatesportsreport@rocketmail.com

Do We Need The Clippers?

Click on past months to see exclusive photos from some college basketball games!

The Los Angeles Clippers are going to be on the market due to the ignorant, and racist comments made by their current owner Donald Sterling.  Everyone is wondering who will buy the franchise, but maybe the question that needs to be asked is does the NBA (National Basketball Association) really need the Los Angeles Clippers?
Donald Sterling bought the team in 1981, and the franchise has maintained a reputation as being a team that has no interest in winning, and frankly they've been the joke of the league for about 30 years.  The Clippers don't even have their own arena, and they share the Staples Center with the Lakers, and Kings. Throughout the years, the Clippers have almost always drafted lottery picks, but the team missed on several picks, and rarely resigned their good players after they finished their first contract.  Los Angeles is a Laker town, and a Dodger town as far as sports are concerned, so would the NBA even miss the Clippers?
If you allowed Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and the rest of the Clippers to become free agents, it would strengthen the league, and all 30 NBA teams could benefit by improving their roster.  The State of California already has the Golden State Warriors, the Sacramento Kings, and the Los Angeles Lakers.  There would still be plenty of options for basketball fans out West, without the existence of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Plenty of franchises in all four of the major sports have been eliminated throughout the years, and many of them had a bigger fan base then the Clippers have.  I would argue that the Los Angeles Raiders, the Montreal Expos, the Hartford Whalers, and the Seattle Supersonics all had more successful campaigns then the Clippers, but the franchise has managed to survive on life support since 1981.  Do you think that the NBA needs the Clippers anymore?  You can always leave a comment, and you can email the Mitten State Sports Report directly at mittenstatesportsreport@rocketmail.com
