The 35th Annual JLWS (Junior League World Series) came to a conclusion last Sunday. Chinese Taipei won for the 3rd straight year defeating Frederick County (Virginia) 12-0 in the World Championship Game. The Tournament was played at Heritage Park in Taylor. The United States pool featured 5 teams from all across the Country. The East Region was represented by Ridgewood, New Jersey (2-2), the Southeast Region was represented by Frederick County, Virginia (2-2), the Central Region was represented by Johnston, Iowa (4-0), the Southwest Region was represented by Weslaco, Texas (0-4), and the West Region was represented by Pearl City, Hawaii (2-2). Frederick County (Virginia) defeated Johnston (Iowa) 7-4 to win the 2015 United States Championship.
The International pool featured 5 teams from all around the World. Chinese Taipei (4-0) represented the Asia-Pacific Region, Villa Blanca (3-1) represented Puerto Rico, South Moravia, Czech Republic (1-3) represented the Europe & Africa Region, Aguadulce Cabezera, Panama (2-2) represented the Latin American Region, and Oakville, Ontario (0-4) represented the Canadian Region. Chinese Taipei defeated Villa Blanca (Puerto Rico) 6-0 in the 2015 International Championship.
