Last night, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils (Blue Team) defeated the Purdue University Boilermakers 10-2. The Lawrence Tech University hockey team plays all of their home games at the Southfield Sports Arena, and last night was Homecoming for the Blue Devils. Lawrence Tech was the better team, and controlled the puck for much of the contest. Ken Gaffney is the Head Coach of the Lawrence Tech (Blue Team), and Gaffney continues to build, and improve the hockey program.
Lawrence Tech University is an ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) Division 3 program, and the Blue Devils compete in the MCHC (Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference). Purdue University is also an ACHA Division 3 program, and the Boilermakers compete in the ICHC (Indiana Collegiate Hockey Conference).
