| On Friday, the Madonna University Crusaders hosted the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers for a doubleheader. |
On Friday, the Madonna University Crusaders hosted the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers for a doubleheader. The Crusaders defeated the Racers 9-1 in the first game, and 4-3 in the second game. The Racers picked up a 12-5 victory over the Crusaders on Saturday. Both teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday, but the second game was cancelled because of bad weather. The Madonna University Crusaders, and the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers are both NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) programs, and both schools compete in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference). The Madonna University baseball team currently has an overall record of 17-13, and the Crusaders are 7-3 in the WHAC. The Crusaders play their home games at Ilitch Ball Park, in Livonia. Click on the link below for more information about the Madonna University athletic program.
