Can Curling Catch?







     The 2018 Winter Olympics are over, and the sport of curling gained popularity as the USA men's National team won the gold medal.  Curling doesn't typically get a lot of media coverage, or television exposure, but the sport may continue to grow regardless.  Click on the link below for more information about the USA curling team.
     The Detroit Curling Club features four sheets of ice, and offers curling for players of all skill level.  The Detroit Curling Club is located at 1615 E. Lewiston Ave, in Ferndale.  Click on the link below for more information about the Detroit Curling Club.

                                                                                Game Notes  








-  The USA men's curling gold medal winning team consisted of John Shuster, Matt Hamilton, Tyler George, John Landsteiner, and alternate Joe Polo.  The team was coached by Phil Drobnick.



-  The USA women's curling team finished the 2018 Winter Olympics in 5th place with an overall record of 4-5.



-  The Detroit Curling Club was founded in 1885.



-  The Detroit Curling Club moved to Ferndale in 2002.
