- Chris Haltinner is the Head Coach of the University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team.
- Brett Huras is the Head Coach of the University of Utah hockey team.
- The University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team competes in the Independent League.
- The University of Utah hockey team also competes in the Independent League.
- The University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team previously competed in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League).
- The WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) will join Division 1 of the ACHA beginning in 2019-2020.
- On October 27th, 2018, the University of Michigan Dearborn hockey team defeated Illinois State University 12-1.
