Former Tigers In KBO League







     Two notable former Detroit Tigers have found success in the KBO (Korea Baseball Organization) League.  Infielder Dixon Machado currently plays for the Lotte Giants, and Pitcher Warwick Saupold plays for the Hanwha Eagles.  Saupold was a relief pitcher for the Tigers, but he now serves as a starting pitcher for the Eagles.  KBO League games are currently being televised on ESPN2.  Check your local listings.

-  Dixon Machado played with the Detroit Tigers from 2015-2018.



-  Dixon Machado played in the 2015 Triple-A All Star Game.



-  Warwick Saupold played with the Detroit Tigers from 2016-2018.



-  Warwick Saupold is from Perth, Australia.  Saupold has pitched for Australia in the World Baseball Classic.



-  The Doosan Bears are the defending KBO League Champions.



-  The Samsung Lions are currently tied for last place in the KBO League standings with an overall record of 0-3.



-  The 2020 KBO League season features ten teams.

  2. The White Sox will probably sign Machado. He will torch the Tigers for the next 5 seasons.

  3. The KBO is a pretty good league. Korea typically does well in the World Baseball Classic.
