Stackhouse Coaches Commodores

 



     Jerry Stackhouse is currently in his second season as Head Coach of the Vanderbilt University Men's basketball team.  Stackhouse played for the Detroit Pistons from 1997-98 - 2001-02 during the beginning of the "Going To Work" era.  Stackhouse was traded to the Washington Wizards during the 2002 NBA (National Basketball Association) offseason in a deal that brought Richard "Rip" Hamilton to the Detroit Pistons.

     The Vanderbilt Commodores currently have an overall record of 4-2.  (Guard) Scottie Pippen Jr. leads the Commodores in scoring with 23.3 points per game.  Commodores (Forward) Dylan Disu is averaging 11 points per game, and 9 rebounds per game.  The Commodores have yet to play a SEC (Southeastern Conference) opponent this season.

-  The Pistons also acquired Hubert Davis in the trade that brought Richard "Rip" Hamilton to Detroit.   


-  The Wizards also acquired Brian Cardinal in the trade that sent Jerry Stackhouse to Washington.  


-  Vanderbilt is scheduled to host Florida tonight at 8:00 p.m.   


-  Vanderbilt University is located in Nashville, Tennessee.
