Loyer Looks To Lead Wildcats




     Junior Guard #0 Foster Loyer is looking to help lead the Davidson College Men's basketball team after transferring from Michigan State University where he spent the previous three seasons.  Foster Loyer is currently the Wildcats third leading scorer with 13.2 points per game in five games played this season.  Loyer is also shooting over 50% from three point range making 13 of 24 attempts from behind the arc.  Foster Lawyer played high school basketball at Clarkston High School.  Loyer was the recipient of the 2017-2018 Hal Schram Mr. Basketball Award (Mr. Michigan Basketball).  

     The Davidson College Men's basketball team currently has an overall record of 3-2.  Davidson College is a NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division I program, and the Wildcats compete in the Atlantic 10.  The Wildcats are currently lead in scoring by Junior Guard #1 Hyunjung Lee with 15.4 points per game.  Wildcats Senior Forward #35 Luka Brajkovic is the currently the Wildcats second leading scorer with 14.2 points per game.

-  Foster Loyer is listed at 6'0, 175 lbs.  


-  Foster Loyer has a younger brother (Fletcher Loyer) that plays high school basketball in Indiana.  


-  Foster Loyer scored 27 points vs. Delaware this season. 


-  The Wildcats roster also includes Sophomore Guard #5 Grant Huffman, Junior Guard #13 Michael Jones, and Sophomore Forward #3 Sam Mennenga.  


-  The Davidson College football team (8-2) has qualified for the 2021 FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) Playoffs.  The Wildcats will travel to Kennesaw State University (10-1) this Saturday for a first round matchup. 


-  The Kennesaw State University Owls only loss this season was at Georgia Tech 45-17.
