EMU vs. Kent State

On Saturday night, the Eastern Michigan University hockey team (in white) hosted Kent State University (in blue)!

The game was played at the Taylor Sportsplex!  Eastern Michigan University plays all of their home games there!

Both schools are conference rivals, and compete against one another in the Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League!

The game was chippy from the get go!  The officials had to intervene several times throughout the game!

Kent State outshot Eastern Michigan 35-28.  #31 Andrew Duff made 31 saves for the Eagles!  

#1 Cesare Dall'Ara made 23 saves for Kent State University! 

The score was tied 2-2 after two periods.  

Eastern Michigan scored three goals in third period!  The Eagles lead 5-2 late in the contest!

Kent State scored a couple late goals to make it interesting!

Davenport at EMU

Davenport University (in black) faced off against Eastern Michigan University (in white) on Saturday night!

Davenport University came into the Taylor Sportsplex ranked #18th in the country in Division 1 of the ACHA.

Both schools compete in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League) Conference.

The Panthers celebrated after scoring a goal!

#9 Robert Kleiman contributed 3 assists for the Panthers on Saturday night! 

Senior goaltender #31 Andrew Duff made 44 saves for the Eagles! 

Sophomore goaltender #29 Matt Kaludis made 35 saves for the Panthers!  



Davenport University celebrated the 5-1 victory over Eastern Michigan University!

EMU vs. Rochester

Rochester College (in red) faced off against Eastern Michigan University (in white) last Saturday night!

The game was played at the Taylor Sportsplex in Taylor.  Eastern Michigan plays all of their home games there.

Eastern Michigan University defeated Rochester College 5-2 the previous night in Rochester. 

#27 Bryan Kozlowski scored twice against the Warriors on Saturday night!

EMU's Senior goaltender #31 Andrew Duff made several big saves against the Warriors!  The game was tied at 3 after 3. 

EMU's #27 Brian Kozlowski scored the game winning goal in overtime!  EMU defeated Rochester 4-3!

The Warriors #28 Dakota Olvin attempts to console goaltender #30 Zakk Olvin after Rochester suffered the overtime loss!

Oakland University (in black, and gold) faced off against Eastern Michigan University (in white) on Saturday night!

The game was played at the Taylor Sportsplex.  The EMU hockey team plays all of their home games in Taylor.

Both teams fought hard to earn points in the GLCHL standings!

EMU defeated Oakland 5-4.  EMU improved their overall record to 5-6.  Oakland fell to 6-6 overall.

EMU 5 - Oakland 4

Eastern Michigan University skated past Oakland University 5-4 on Saturday night at the Taylor Sportsplex!

     Oakland University brought their 6-5 record to the Taylor Sportsplex on Saturday night with hopes of picking up points in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League).  Eastern Michigan University entered Saturday night with an overall record of 4-6, but earned a victory over Oakland the previous night at the ONYX Ice Arena.  Both teams have earned victories against each other so far this season.  Oakland defeated Eastern Michigan 10-2 at the ONYX Ice Arena back on October 18th.  Both teams compete in Division 1 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), and have become fierce rivals in the GLCHL.

EMU vs. Adrian

Eastern Michigan University faced off against Adrian College last Friday at the Taylor Sportsplex!

The game was very physical between two conference rivals! 

Saturday night was the home opener for the Eastern Michigan Eagles! 

Adrian's #22 Logan Blackwell awaits the pass from his teammate #28 Robert Bodette!

A 5 minute major penalty against EMU in the second period changed the momentum!

Adrian's #15 Tristan Musser scored two power play goals in the second period!

Adrian's #22 Logan Blackwell sets up in front of EMU goalie #31 Andrew Duff!

Adrian outshot Eastern Michigan and earned the 6-2 victory!  The Bulldogs have won three games in a row!

Eastern Michigan has lost three games in a row!  The Eagles next home game is October 26th against Oakland University!

Eagles vs Wolves Photo Album

EMU goalie Andrew Duff made several tremendous saves!

Wolves Defenseman Cody Longuski worked the puck behind the net.

The game got very physical at times!



There were several goals scored!

It took 15 combined goals, and overtime to decide a winner!

In the end the Wolves celebrated the 8-7 victory!
