| On Sunday, the Alpena Flyers celebrated an 8-5 victory over the Detroit Fighting Irish. |
On Sunday afternoon, the Alpena Flyers earned a 8-5 road win at the Ice Box in Brownstown. The Detroit Fighting Irish are playing all of their home games at the Ice Box this season, and the Fighting Irish are currently in 3rd place in the MWJHL (Midwest Junior Hockey League) with 10 points, and an overall record of 5-3.
The Alpena Flyers are currently in 8th place in the MWJHL with 4 points, and an overall record of 1-7 (1 shootout loss, and 1 overtime loss).
