| On Friday night, the Fargo Force defeated Team USA 5-4. |
On Friday night, the Fargo Force defeated the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) Under 17 Team 5-4. The Fargo Force went on to outlast Team USA 4-2 on Saturday night. Both teams compete in the USHL (United States Hockey League), but the teams are placed in separate Conferences. Click on the link below for more information about the USHL.
The USA NTDP also fields an Under 18 team that competes in the USHL. The two teams will count jointly as one team in the USHL standings, but the U17 team will compete in the postseason should the team qualify. Team USA is currently in 8th place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 14 points, and an overall record of 6-8. Click on the link below for more information about the USA NTDP.

The USA NTDP competes against players 3-4 years older then them on a regular basis. Team USA has a brand new home at the USA Hockey Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, in Plymouth. ReplyDeleteI went to see the USA hockey team, but it only made me miss the Plymouth Whalers. I don't want to drive all the way to Flint to see the new team. I guess I'll go to more college games.
