On Wednesday, January 9th, the University of Michigan Dearborn Men's basketball team defeated the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles 67-66. Cornerstone University, and the University of Michigan Dearborn are both NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic) programs, and both schools compete against each other in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference). - University of Michigan Dearborn Guard #23 Mafiaion Joyner lead the Wolverines in scoring on Wednesday night with 16 points.
- Cornerstone University Center #42 Sam Vander Sluis scored 20 points, and added 17 rebounds for the Golden Eagles on Wednesday night.
- #42 Sam Vander Sluis has recorded a double-double in 18 of 20 games this season.
