Butt On BTN




     Former University of Michigan Tight End Jake Butt is currently working as a color commentator for the BTN (Big Ten Network).  Jake Butt was in the booth with Brandon Gaudin during last night's call between the Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. the Iowa Hawkeyes.  The Nebraska Cornhuskers upset the Iowa Hawkeyes 24-17.  Last night's game was played in Iowa City, Iowa.  

     Jake Butt played college football at the University of Michigan from 2013-2016.  Butt was selected by the Denver Broncos in the 5th round (145th overall) of the 2017 NFL (National Football League) Draft.  Butt was projected to go in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft before he was seriously injured in the 2016 Orange Bowl.  Jake Butt is from Pickerington, Ohio.

     There are two live games today on the Big Ten Network. The Rutgers University Scarlet Knights travel on the road to take on the University of Maryland Terrapins at 12:00 p.m.  The Purdue University Boilermakers visit the Indiana University Hoosiers at 3:30 p.m.  B1G Tailgate, B1G Live, and The Final Drive can also be seen today on the Big Ten Network.

-  Jake Butt announced his retirement from the NFL in 2021 shortly after signing a contract with the Chicago Bears.


-  Today's game between the University of Illinois Fighting Illini at the Northwestern University Wildcats can also be seen live on the Big Ten Network at 3:30 p.m. depending on your location.
