FPHL News: November 2022

 



     The 2022-2023 FPHL (Federal Prospects Hockey League) season features two divisions, and ten teams.  The Continental Division features five teams including the Carolina Thunderbirds, the Columbus River Dragons (Georgia), the Mississippi Sea Wolves, the Motor City Rockers, and the Port Huron Prowlers.  The Empire Division features five teams including the Binghamton Black Bears, the Danbury Hat Tricks, the Delaware Thunder, the Elmira Mammoth, and the Watertown Wolves.  

     The Motor City Rockers are currently in 2nd place in the FPHL Continental Division standings with 28 points, and an overall record of 9-3-3 (3 overtime losses).  The Port Huron Prowlers are currently in 4th place in the FPHL Continental Division standings with 20 points, and an overall record of 6-6-2 (2 overtime losses).  

     The Columbus River Dragons are currently in 1st place in the FPHL Continental Division standings with 35 points, and an overall record of 12-1.  The Danbury Hat Tricks are currently in 1st place in the FPHL Empire Division with 33 points, and an overall record of 12-0-1 (1 overtime loss).  

     The Watertown Wolves won the 2021 Commissioner's Cup (FPHL Championship).  The Elmira Mammoth, the Mississippi Sea Wolves, and the Motor City Rockers are all playing in their first FPHL season.  The Federal Prospects Hockey League was previously known as the Federal Hockey League until the end of the 2017-2018 season.  The FHL/FPHL played their inaugural season in 2010-2011.

-  Gordie Brown is the Head Coach of the Motor City Rockers.  


-  The Motor City Rockers play their home games at Big Boy Arena located at 34400 Utica Road, in Fraser, Michigan.  


-  Matt Graham is the General Manager, and Head Coach of the Port Huron Prowlers. 


-  The Port Huron Prowlers play their home games at McMorran Arena located at 701 McMorran Blvd, in Port Huron, Michigan.
