UofM-D vs. EMU





On Saturday night, Eastern Michigan University hosted University of Michigan Dearborn at the Taylor Sportsplex!





Both schools compete in Division 1 of the American Collegiate Hockey Association!





Both schools are conference rivals in the Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League!





Saturday night's game was very physical, and several players were ejected!





The linesman (Mercer) heard it from the Wolverine faithful all night!





#41 Micah Collier accumulated 32 saves!  The Wolverines outshot the Eagles 52-34. 





University of Michigan Dearborn celebrated a 9-2 victory over Eastern Michigan University!

UofM-D vs. Colorado State





On Friday night, University of Michigan Dearborn (in white) hosted Colorado State University (in green)!






University of Michigan Dearborn celebrated an early lead over the Rams!  The Wolverines lead 3-1 after the first period!  





#41 Micah Collier made big saves for the Wolverines all night long!  Collier accumulated 34 saves on Friday night!






#71 Gino Darin played a physical game for the Wolverines.  Darin scored midway through the third period.






A problem with the ice forced a lengthy delay during Friday nights contest!






#31 Peter Gormley replaced #1 Alex Steidler in net after the second period!






The Wolverines scored early and often!  #10 Mike Payne added a goal seven minutes into the third period!






The Wolverines hung on to pick up the 8-3 victory over Colorado State!





Colorado State lost at Oakland University 5-0 on Saturday night!  The Rams are currently 13-18 overall. 






University of Michigan Dearborn lost at Oakland University 10-5 on Sunday!  The Wolverines are now 14-18 overall!

Davenport at UofM-D





On Friday night, Davenport University (in black, and red) faced off against the University of Michigan Dearborn (in white)!





The game was played in Dearborn.  It was a battle between conference rivals.  Both schools compete in the GLCHL.





The Davenport Panthers outshot the University of Michigan Dearborn 43-41.





#93 Jeremy Klotz had one assist for the Wolverines on Friday night!





#9 Ryan Kelly also contributed one assist for UofM-D on Friday night!





#4 Jacob Poynter checks a Panthers player into the boards!





Davenport scored 9 times against two different Wolverine goaltenders!  This shot slipped past #41 Micah Collier!

UofM-D 7 - Pitt 4





The University of Michigan Dearborn battled the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday October 12th!




This was the second meeting in two nights between the Wolverines, and the Panthers!




The Wolverines goalie #41 Micah Collier celebrates an early goal!




#28 Kyle Horn fights off the body check from #7 Bobby Tritschler! 




The Wolverines smothered the Panthers for 60 minutes!




The referees were having none of the rough stuff!




#41 Micah Collier makes the glove save!




The Wolverines were solid on offense, and defense!




The Wolverines defeated the Panthers for the second night in a row!




The Wolverines celebrate a 7-4 victory over Pitt!

UofM-D Pounds Pitt





The University of Michigan-Dearborn defeated the University of Pittsburgh twice over the weekend! 








     The University of Michigan-Dearborn hockey team welcomed the University of Pittsburgh to town over the weekend for a pair of primetime ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) matchups.  The Pittsburgh Panthers compete in the CHMA (College Hockey Mid-America) Conference along with seven other teams from Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The UofM-D Wolverines compete in the GLCHL (Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League) with six other teams, five of which are from the state of Michigan (Adrian College, Davenport, Eastern Michigan University, Oakland University, and Western Michigan University).  UofM-D has always been known as the Wolves, but this year they have changed their name, and are now known as the Wolverines.  Their official website will still be  gowolves.net
     On Friday night the Wolverines scored four goals in the second period to aid them to a 5-2 victory over Pittsburgh.  #22 Jase Paciocco scored twice for the Wolverines as his team outshot the Panthers 45-26.  Despite allowing five goals, #35 Rob Behling made 40 saves for Pittsburgh.
