Indians Win On Strat-O-Matic

     The 2020 MLB (Major League Baseball) season began on Thursday, July 23rd, and Strat-O-Matic has revised a sixty game MLB season simulation with the Cleveland Indians winning the World Series.  The Indians defeated the Houston Astros in seven games to win the ALCS (American League Championship Series), and then defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in six games to win the World Series.  Detroit did not qualify for the sixteen team postseason, and the Tigers finished in last place in the American League Central standings with an overall record of 19-41.

-  The Cleveland Indians finished the Strat-O-Matic revised season simulation in 1st place in the American League Central standings with an overall record of 39-21.



-  Houston Astros SS Carlos Correa won the American League MVP (Most Valuable Player) Award in the Strat-O-Matic revised season simulation.



-  Chicago Cubs 3B Kris Bryant won the National League MVP Award in the Strat-O-Matic revised season simulation.



-  Tampa Bay Rays Pitcher Charlie Morton won the American League Cy Young Award in the Strat-O-Matic revised season simulation.



-  Atlanta Braves Pitcher Mike Foltynewicz won the National League Cy Young Award in the Strat-O-Matic revised season simulation.



 -  Mike Foltynewicz was designated for assignment on Monday night by the Atlanta Braves.



-  Chicago White Sox OF Luis Robert won the American League Rookie of the Year Award in the Strat-O-Matic revised season simulation.



-  Philadelphia Phillies 3B Alec Bohm won the National League Rookie of the Year Award in the Strat-O-Matic revised season simulation.

Clippers Win On Strat-O-Matic

     The 2019-2020 NBA (National Basketball Association) season is set to resume on Thursday, but the Strat-O-Matic simulation of the NBA Postseason ended with the Los Angeles Clippers winning the NBA Title.  The Clippers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in five games in the Western Conference Finals, and then defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in seven games in the NBA Finals.  The Detroit Pistons did not qualify for the Strat-O-Matic NBA Playoffs.

-  The Los Angeles Dodgers recently won the World Series in the Strat-O-Matic season simulation.



-  Strat-O-Matic also simulated the revised 60 game 2020 MLB season.  The Cleveland Indians won the World Series in the revised simulation.

Dodgers Win On Strat-O-Matic

     The 2020 MLB (Major League Baseball) season is officially under way, and Strat-O-Matic has ended their MLB season simulation with the Los Angeles Dodgers winning the World Series.  The Dodgers defeated the Washington Nationals in five games to win the NLCS (National League Championship Series), and then defeated the Houston Astros in five games to win the World Series.  Dodgers Pitcher Clayton Kershaw won the National League Cy Young Award, and Houston Astros Pitcher Justin Verlander won the American League Cy Young Award.  The Detroit Tigers finished in last place in the American League Central standings with an overall record of 67-95.

Strat-O-Matic: NBA

     A simulation of the 2020 NBA (National Basketball Association) Playoffs is taking place on the Strat-O-Matic website.  First round games begin tomorrow afternoon, and results will be posted every day at 4:00 p.m.  The Detroit Pistons did not qualify for the Strat-O-Matic postseason.

Strat-O-Matic: Tigers

     A simulation of the Detroit Tigers 2020 season is taking place on the Strat-O-Matic website.  The Tigers are currently in fourth place in the American League Central standings with an overall record of 7-9.  Detroit is currently 5.5 games out of first place, but the Tigers are riding a 4 game winning streak.
     Several Tigers are batting over .300 in the Strat-O-Matic simulation including Jeimer Candelario, Niko Goodrum, and Austin Romine.  Miguel Cabrera, and JaCoby Jones are each hitting below .200.  Jonathon Schoop is currently on the 10-Day IL (injured list).

Simulation Baseball

     Strat-O-Matic is simulating the 2020 MLB (Major League Baseball) season on their website, and on their social media platforms.  Stat-O-Matic will post results, standings, and statistics every day at 2:00 p.m.  The Stat-O-Matic simulation accounts for injuries, and top prospects that likely would have made MLB rosters.  Strat-O-Matic has already posted yesterday's Opening Day simulation game results.
    The Strat-O-Matic Opening Day simulation game had the Cleveland Indians defeating the Detroit Tigers 9-1.  Tigers Pitcher Matt Boyd was responsible for allowing 8 runs in 4 1/3 innings.  Designated Hitter Miguel Cabrera knocked in Outfielder JaCoby Jones in the 8th inning for the Tigers only run.  The Tigers recorded 10 hits, and 2 errors.
