Detroit Lions General Manager Martin Mahew pulled the trigger on an Offensive Lineman in the 1st round of last nights 2012 NFL (National Football League) Draft. There is already much speculation from the media, and fans that Riley Reiff (Offensive Tackle) will replace Jeff Backus, but it is the belief of this writer that the two will coexist for a couple of seasons until Backus eventually retires. It may in fact be Gosder Cherilous who could be the odd man out, but keep in mind that Reiff played Guard, and Tackle during his career at Iowa.
