Last night, Henry Ford Community College defeated Delta College 78-65 in the regular season finale for both schools. The Henry Ford Hawks got out to an early lead, and the Delta Pioneers failed to adjust to the fast pace offense, and high percentage shooting that came as a result of the superb ball movement by the Hawks. Henry Ford's Marquawn Armstrong, and Roderick Butler were able to score easy buckets down low, while Darryl Mobley Jr., and Javan Thomas contributed by shooting well from the field. The Hawks lead by twelve at the break, but the Pioneers started the second half strong, and cut the lead to 38-30. Henry Ford scored a few quick buckets, and then began to slow down the tempo. Austin Marine lead the way for Delta scoring 23 points, while Jojaun Grahm added 21 for the Pioneers in the loosing effort. Henry Ford finishes the regular season with an overall record of 18-10, (12-6 in the MCCAA) while Delta concludes with a 12-17 overall record (10-8 in the MCCAA). Both teams have played well at times, but they've each struggled against the top teams in the MCCAA standings.
