MUSL Clash in Canton!





There was a MUSL (Michigan United Soccer League) game in Canton.











     Independence Park in Canton was the place for MUSL (Michigan United Soccer League) action on Sunday.  Canton Celtic (30) put their undefeated record on the line against Hoverla FC (30) in a divisional showdown.  Both teams play in the MUSL over 30 West Division along with six other teams.  Hoverla FC (30) is one of the most penalized teams in the MUSL accumulating 17 Penalty Points, 6 Yellow Cards, and 1 Red Card in only 5 games so far this season.  Hoverla FC (30) has also given up 13 goals so far this season, while only scoring 5 goals of their own.  Canton Celtic (30) was able to keep their undefeated streak alive defeating Hoverla FC (30) by a final score of 3-1.
     Canton Celtic (30) is owned and operated by Ryan Okerstrom, and currently sit in 1st place in the over 30 West Division with an overall record of 5-0.  Kevin Callender, and Tim Moxie lead Canton Celtic (30) in scoring with 2 goals a piece.  Phil Tenore has also added 2 goals for Canton Celtic (30) this season.  Hoverla FC (30) is owned and operated by Alexander Holish, and are currently in 6th place in the over 30 West Division with an overall record of 1-3-1.
     Independence Park is located off of Denton road, in between Cherry Hill road, and Geddes road in Canton.  There are several soccer fields at Independence Park stretching all the way north to Proctor road.
