MUSL Matchup in Livonia!

The MUSL (Michigan United Soccer League) plays games in Livonia.

Last Monday, Bi-Centennial Field in Livonia was the site for a MUSL (Michigan United Soccer League) matchup between Old Geezer Celtic (48) and Stingers.  Both teams compete against one another in the (over 48) West Division which consists of four teams.  The over 48 league also has a Central Division (4 teams), along with an East Division (4 teams), which allows 12 teams to compete for the annual (over 48) Founders Cup.  Old Geezer Celtic (48) scored the only goal to give them the 1-0 victory over Stingers.
Stingers is owned and operated by Steven Armitage and is currently in 1st place in the over 48 West Division with 9 points, and an overall record of 3-2.  George Ionita leads the team in scoring with 4 goals.  Joseph Trombley has added 3 goals for Stingers, while the coolest name in the MUSL Raymond Beveridge has 2 goals.  Old Geezer Celtic (48) is lead in scoring by Habib Affes, and Roger Janecke who each have 2 goals so far this season.  Old Geezer Celtic (48) is owned and operated by Nicos Agathocleous and is currently in second place in the over 48 West Division with 6 points, and an overall record of 2-1.  It is important to note that Stingers has played two more games then Old Geezer Celtic (48).
Bi-Centennial Park is located off of 7 mile road, near Wayne road in Livonia.  It features well maintained baseball, and softball diamonds (with working scoreboards), several soccer fields, and trails perfect for jogging, or walking the dog.  It's also a great park for picnics, and its large space allows for all kinds of summer activities.

One player could not shake off the pain during last Monday's contest!
