Founders Cup Elimination Game!




FSC Lightning (in white) met up with SC Mladost BIH (in blue) on Friday night in Plymouth!








     The Michigan United Soccer League (MUSL) returned to Plymouth last Friday for a Founders Cup Tournament game featuring FSC Lightning vs. SC Mladost BIH.  Both teams compete in the Open 1st Division, which includes some of the top teams that the MUSL has to offer.  Friday nights matchup was a Founders Cup (Open Division) quarterfinal, and an elimination game for the losing team. The game was played at ACH (Visteon) Soccer Field which is located off of Sheldon road across from the M14 exit.  The soccer field is hidden behind the old Visteon Plant, and there isn't a parking area next the field.  To access the soccer fields, you must park in the ACH parking lot and walk a short trail to the field.  The soccer field is surrounded by a walking trail which includes several fitness stations.  FSC Lightning defeated SC Mladost BIH 1-0, and will play the Michigan Rush (TBD) for a chance to advance to the Open Division Founders Cup Final.
     SC Mladost BIH is owned and operated by Nisvet Sabic and is currently in 3rd place in the 1st Open Division with 9 points, and a divisional record of 3-1. Mirsad Halep leads SC Mladost in scoring this season with 8 goals on the season. 
     FSC Lightning is owned and operated by Eric Wright and is currently in 4th place in the 1st Open Division with 9 points, and a divisional record of 3-3.  Kyle Thom currently leads FSC Lightning in scoring this season with 4 goals.








FSC Lightning defeated SC Mladost BIH 1-0.
