Ring of Honor in Dearborn!

The Ring of Honor wrestling tour stopped in Dearborn on Saturday!

Ring of Honor wrestling (ROH) came to the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn last night for a live television taping.  Ring of Honor's top notch performers were on hand to put on a must see show, featuring all of the high flying, non stop action that Ring of Honor fans have come accustomed to.  The talking is limited, but the quality of wrestling in the ROH is second to none.  Ring of Honor wrestling is truly the best pound for pound wrestling available, and seeing a live show is as entertaining as any other sporting event around.  You really get a feel for how hard the wrestlers hit, and kick each other; and you get a perspective of how athletic, and focused the wrestlers are throughout the match.  Many fans wish that ROH would come to Dearborn more often, and several fans have expressed interest in the expansion of the television audience that ROH currently reaches.  Ring of Honor can be seen on Fox affiliates throughout certain cities in Michigan such as Grand Rapids, Saginaw, and Flint, but the option to view via television is currently not available in the Metro Detroit area.  Baileys Sports Grille in Dearborn has Ring of Honor viewing parties on Tuesday nights.  For more information on ROH, click on the link below, and as always you can leave a comment, or email the Mitten State Sports Report directly at mittenstatesportsreport@rocketmail.com

Ring of Honor's top notch performers were on hand to put on a must see show!

One of the best matches of the night came early when the hometown favorite TaDarius Thomas (T.D.) squared off against Kyle O'Reilly.  O'Reilly makes up one half of the current World Tag Team Champions, but the crowd was certainly on the side of T.D.  It was a classic, non stop match that would set the tone for the action packed night of wrestling that followed.  All of the matches were entertaining, and the intensity was cranked up several notches after the intermission break.  The tag team main event between The American Wolves (Davey Richards, and Eddie Edwards) against Michael Elgin, and Jay Lethal, may have been the best match that I've ever seen at a live show.  The crowd was left with their jaws dropped for the entire match, in the same way that I appear when I look at Maria Kanellis.  Truth Martini also put on a tremendous show, and showed why he is also a hometown favorite.

Maria Kanellis gets caught in no man's (or women) land!

The American Wolves (Davey Richards, and Eddie Edwards) defeated the tag team constructed of Michael Elgin, and Jay Lethal.  The World TV Champion Matt Taven (with Truth Martini) defeated "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen, in a non title bout, with outside help from Truth Martini.  After the match Nigel McGuinness announced that Truth Martini would have to wrestle Kevin Steen as a result of his actions.  Martini took a beating, but won the match with the help of outside interference.  World Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish defeated ACH.  TaDarius Thomas defeated World Tag Team Champion Kyle O'Reilly.  "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett (with Maria Kanellis) defeated Rhino with help from Maria Kanellis.  Ms. Chif was also victorious in a Women of Honor match.  For more information about Ring of Honor Wrestling click on  http://www.rohwrestling.com/
