Whalers Alumni Report!

Former Whalers defenseman #28 Connor Carrick is currently playing for the Hershey Bears of the AHL.

    
     The Mitten State Sports Report is constantly looking to add new features to this website that are relevant to the sports scene in Michigan.  The Whalers Alumni Report is the latest monthly feature, and is designed to update the progress of the several former Plymouth Whalers that have gone on to play in professional hockey leagues such as the NHL (National Hockey League), and the AHL (American Hockey league).
     Connor Carrick, and Tom Wilson both began the year on the Plymouth roster, but Carrick has played 13 games with the Hershey Bears of the AHL, and Wilson currently skates in the NHL with the Washington Capitals. The Hershey Bears are the minor league affiliate of the Washington Capitals, so there's a chance both players could reunite in the near future.
     Two former Whalers that have already reunited on the ice are Colin MacDonald, and Michael Whaley.  Both players have teamed up to play college hockey together for the University of Western Ontario Mustangs.  The Mustangs will play the University of Windsor this Monday (December 16th) at Comerica Park in Detroit.

Former Whalers, and Spirit standout #25 Vince Trocheck currently plays for the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL.
