On Sunday, Chinese Taipei defeated Hawaii 9-1 to win the 2016 Junior League World Series. It all took place at Heritage Park located at 12111 Pardee Road, in Taylor. The Asia-Pacific Region was represented by the Shing-Ming Junior Little League from Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipei. Chinese Taipei finished the 2016 Junior League World Series with an overall record of 5-0. This was the fourth straight year that Chinese Taipei has won the Junior League World Series.
The West Region of the United States was represented by the Kawaihau Community Little League from Kapaa Kauai, Hawaii. Hawaii finished the 2016 Junior League World Series with an overall record of 3-1.
