The JLWS (Junior League World Series) is underway in the city of Taylor. Teams have traveled from all over the World to compete against top level competition at Heritage Park. The World Championship Game will take place on Sunday, August 21st at 1:00 p.m. The Championship Game can be seen live on ESPN, and on www.espn.go.com Chinese Taipei is the 3 time defending World Champions. The United States Pool is divided into 5 Regions. The Central Region is represented by Midland, Michigan, the Southeast Region is represented by Taylors, South Carolina, the East Region is represented by Salisbury, Maryland, the Southwest Region is represented by Corpus Christi, Texas, and the West Region is represented by Kapaa Kauai, Hawaii.
The International Pool is divided into 6 Regions. The Asia-Pacific Region is represented by Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipei, the Australia Region is represented by Sydney, South New Wales, the Europe & Africa Region is represented by Brno, Czech Republic, the Latin America Region is represented by Juan Diaz, Panama, the Canada Region is represented by Lethbridge, Alberta, and the Mexico Region is represented by Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon.
Heritage Park recently added a bullpen with a viewing platform along the right side of the baseball diamond. Heritage Park also features soccer fields, trails, picnic areas, a petting farm, and a catch, and release fishing pond. Heritage Park is located at 12111 Pardee Road, in Taylor.
