| On Friday, October 5th, the MSU Spartans defeated the UofM Wolverines 4-3. |
On Friday, October 5th, the Michigan State University Spartans defeated the University of Michigan Wolverines 4-3. Both teams compete in Division 2 of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association), and both schools are Conference rivals in the Great Midwest Hockey League. The Michigan State University ACHA Division 2 hockey club currently has an overall record of 1-2. The Spartans also field an ACHA Division 3 hockey club, and a NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division I hockey team.
