The Goal Of RoboCup
The goal of RoboCup is "By the middle of the 21st century, a team of fully autonomous humanoid robot soccer players shall win a soccer game, complying with official rules of FIFA, against the winner of the most recent World Cup." RoboCupSoccer currently has five leagues including Humanoid, Standard Platform, Middle Size, Small Size, and Simulation. RoboCup also offers leagues for RoboCupRescue, RoboCup@Home, RoboCupIndustrial, and RoboCupJunior.

Game Notes
- The first official RoboCup games occurred in 1997.
- The 24th edition of RoboCup (in France) has been postponed until 2021.
- Peter Stone is the President of RoboCup.
- On February 10th, 1996, a computer known as Deep Blue defeated (chess grandmaster) Gary Kasparov in a game of chess.
- In 2011, a computer known as Watson defeated Ken Jennings, and Brad Rutter on Jeopardy. Jennings, and Rutter are both former Jeopardy Champions.
