Virtual March Madness







      A simulation of the 2020 NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Men's Basketball Tournament is taking place on the Virtual March Madness YouTube channel.  The tournament simulation features two local schools, but #3 Michigan State was upset by #14 Belmont 77-70 in a first round matchup.  #7 Michigan defeated #10 Oklahoma 104-75 in the first round, and then upset #2 Villanova 107-80 in the second round.  Michigan currently awaits a "Sweet 16" showdown against Big Ten rival #3 Maryland.
     The tournament simulation on the Virtual March Madness YouTube channel features teams with current rosters, and games last about an hour in real time.  The tournament simulation had several first round upsets including #12 East Tennessee State over #5 Auburn, #11 Wichita State over #6 West Virginia, and #11 Texas over #6 Iowa.

-  #12 Cincinnati upset #4 Butler in the first round of the tournament simulation taking place on the Virtual March Madness YouTube channel.
