Midwest Premier League News

 


Livonia City FC B Team (in gray) was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2017.





     The MWPL (Midwest Premier League) recently kicked off their inaugural season with 20 teams.  The MWPL West Division features 12 teams from Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin.  The MWPL East Division features 8 teams from Michigan including Bih Grand Rapids, Detroit City FC U23, Inter Detroit, Lansing Common FC, Livonia City FC, LK St. Clair, Michigan Stars FC U23, and the West Michigan Bearings.

-  Bih Grand Rapids, and Inter Detroit both previously competed in the UPSL (United Premier Soccer League).  


-  Detroit City FC U23, Lansing Common FC, and the West Michigan Bearings are new soccer clubs.


-  On Sunday, April 25th, 2021, the West Michigan Bearings defeated Livonia City FC 4-1.


-  Livonia City FC was previously a non-league team with reserve teams that competed in other leagues.


-  Livonia City FC B Team was featured on the Mitten State Sports Report in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
