| On Wednesday, March 31st, the Muskegon Lumberjacks defeated the USA NTDP 5-4 in a shootout. |
On Wednesday, March 31st, the Muskegon Lumberjacks defeated the USA NTDP (National Team Development Program) U-18 Team 5-4 in a shootout. Both teams compete against each other in the Eastern Conference of the USHL (United States Hockey League). Wednesday night's game was played at the USA Hockey Arena located at 14900 Beck Road, in Plymouth. Muskegon Forward #25 Nick Portz scored the game winning goal in the shootout.
The Muskegon Lumberjacks are currently in 2nd place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 61 points, and an overall record of 29-13-1-2 (1 overtime loss, and 2 shootout losses). Team USA is currently in 4th place in the USHL Eastern Conference standings with 49 points, and an overall record of 21-18-3-4 (3 overtime losses, and 4 shootout losses).
