College Softball: AC at MU

Last Tuesday, Madonna University (in blue) defeated Albion College (in purple) twice.  The scores were 14-0, and 12-0.    

     Last Tuesday, the Madonna University softball team hosted Albion College for a doubleheader.  The Madonna Crusaders shutout the Albion Britons 14-0 in the first game, and 12-0 in the second game.  Both games were played at University Field, in Livonia.  Scroll down to check out exclusive photos from the first game of the doubleheader showdown.
     The Madonna University softball team currently has an overall record of 18-7-1.  The Crusaders are a NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) program, and the team competes in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  The Crusaders are currently riding an 8 game winning streak.  Click on the links below for more information about the Madonna University athletic program, the NAIA, or the WHAC.

#5 Bree Crampton picked up the win in the 1st game.  Crampton pitched 5 innings, allowed 2 hits, and recorded 10 strikeouts!  

 

#5 Bree Crampton is one of the top Pitchers in the Country!  Crampton is playing in her Senior season at Madonna.

  

#10 Kayla Rebain is batting .261 this season.  In 2015, Rebain has already hit 3 home runs, and recorded 8 RBI's. 

The Madonna Crusaders are currently riding an 8 game winning streak.

Madonna University celebrated 2 victories over Albion College.

College Baseball: MU vs. CU

On Tuesday, the Concordia University baseball team traveled to Livonia for a doubleheader. 

     On Tuesday, the Madonna University baseball team hosted the Concordia University Cardinals for a doubleheader.  The Madonna Crusaders shutout the Cardinals in the first game to capture the 5-0 victory.  The Crusaders held on to win the second game 4-3.  Both schools compete in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), and both teams are Conference rivals in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Click on the links below for more information about the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, or the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

Men's Lacrosse LTU vs. SHU

Last Sunday, Siena Heights University (in yellow) defeated Lawrence Tech University (in white) 21-5.

     Last Sunday, the Siena Heights University men's lacrosse team defeated the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils 21-5.  The game was played at the Detroit Country Day Fieldhouse, in Beverly Hills.  Both programs play in Division II of the MCLA (Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association), and both schools compete against each other in the CCLA (Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association) Conference.  Click on the link below for more information about the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association.

College Baseball: MU vs. MC

Madonna University (in blue) defeated Marygrove College 4 times over the weekend.  12-2, 12-0, 8-5, and 12-1.

      Over the weekend, the Madonna University baseball team hosted Marygrove College for a pair of doubleheader games played at Ilitch Ball Park, in Livonia.  The first pair of games were played on Friday, followed by a doubleheader showdown on Saturday.  The Madonna Crusaders swept the Marygrove Mustangs 12-2, 12-0, 8-5, and 12-1.  Both schools compete in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), and both teams are Conference rivals in the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference).  Scroll down to check out exclusive photos from game 1 of Friday's college baseball action.  Click on the links below for more information about the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, or the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

Madonna University hosted Marygrove College at Ilitch Ball Park, in Livonia.  

#22 Mike Tibbits is currently batting .278 this season.  Tibbits is an infielder for the Crusaders.  

On Friday, #26 Adam Prashad pitched 6.1 innings, and recorded 6 strikeouts.  

#22 Raleigh Wilson is an outfielder for the Mustangs.  Wilson previously played at West Texas College.

#6 Ryan Lambrecht recorded 7 RBI's in 4 games against Marygrove. 

#17 Matt Deneau is a Catcher playing in his Freshman season for the Crusaders.

#14 Taylor Grzelakowski was just named as the WHAC Player of the Week!  Grzelakowski plays Outfield for Madonna.

College Softball: LU vs. AC

On Friday, Lourdes University (in orange) battled Albion College (in purple) in a doubleheader showdown.

     On Friday, the Lourdes University women's softball team traveled to Livonia to battle the Albion College Britons.  The doubleheader showdown was played at University Field, and the Lourdes Gray Wolves wound up splitting the series with the Albion Britons.  The Gray Wolves lost the 1st game to Albion 8-6, but Lourdes won the 2nd game 11-0.  The Gray Wolves have had to cancel 10 games so far this season, and postpone 6 additional games.  Friday's action in Livonia served as an opening day for the Lourdes Gray Wolves.  Scroll down to check out exclusive photos from game 1 of Friday's college softball showdown.

#17 Delaney Probst went 2-4 at the plate, and scored 1 run.  Probst plays 3rd base for the Britons.

Lourdes University (in orange) won the 2nd game of the doubleheader 11-0.

The game was played at University Field, in Livonia.  

#14 Monica Brugnoni pitched a complete game, and improved her record to 3-3.  Brugnoni recorded 6 strikeouts. 

#2 Elena Luce scored 2 runs in the 1st game against Lourdes.  Luce plays shortstop for the Britons.
