Lindstrom With A "N"

On Thursday, February 6th, Defenseman #28 Gustav Lindstrom made his debut for the Detroit Red Wings.  The pronunciation of Lindstrom's name will surely be botched by the media, and confused with former Detroit Red Wings Defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom.  This is ironic because the media consistently mispronounced Lidstrom's name as Lindstrom during his 20 year career with the Detroit Red Wings.
Gustav Lindstrom was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2nd round (38th overall pick) of the 2017 NHL (National Hockey League) Entry Draft.  Lindstrom played the 2018-2019 season for the Frolunda Indians of the SHL (Swedish Hockey League).  Lindstrom played for the Grand Rapids Griffins this season, and recorded 5 assists in 45 games.

Memory Lane: Bud Bowl

Bud Bowl was a series of animated Anheuser-Busch commercials that aired during "The Big Game" in the late 80's, and early 90's.  Bud Bowl featured football games between Budweiser bottles with football helmets against Bud Light bottles with football helmets.  I also seem to recall commercials leading up to the Bud Bowl that hyped up the pretend game.
Bud Bowl produced several memorable characters including Bud Light Quarterback Budway Joe, Bud Light Quarterback Bud Dry, and Budweiser Defensive Lineman The Freezer.  I liked the Bud Bowl commercials, but many people felt like the idea ran its course, and eventually ran out of steam.
